Yet, it is only six minute drive away from the quaint village of Arneva and 6 minutes to the bustling town of Orihuela. Here you will find the necessary amenities like bars, restaurants, shops, banks, chemists, and a beautiful public parks that have been around for over 200 years. Orihuela has a main train station and is ideal for visiting Spain or just popping to Alicante centre. Its also a short drive to any of the surrounding villages like Bigastro,Almoradi. The historical town of Orihuela, where you can find a complete range of services and facilities, like commercial centers, supermarkets, sports facilities, has amazing architecture.It takes around 35 minutes to drive to the coast, where you will find many blue flag beaches and other attractions to enjoy all year round. You could visit Torrevieja, a large service town on the coast where there are water parks, casinos, shopping centers, a variety of bars, shops, restaurants.
For good family fun, you could drive further up the coast to the well known holiday resort of Benidorm. There you can enjoy a family day out at Terramitica theme park, Tierra Natura wildlife safari, Mundomar Aquatic Park, like SeaWorld, the Benidorm Palace which is the biggest stage in Europe with dancing, acting and magic shows, similar to Moulin Rouge. Another good place to visit if you have time is Valencia, an old historical town full of things to do and places to explore. If you enjoy water sports and hanging out at the beach all day, take a drive down to the Mar Menor, about 40 minutes,where you will find an incredible enclosed beach that offer all sorts of water sport activities like sailing, jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, scuba diving etc.
